How many doctors were actually posted here
A health centre with nobody in it is a building, not a service. This page separates the two: how many health posts the 22 Dholera villages had, and how many people were actually in position on the day the count was taken.
Census of India 2011, Village Directory. Surveyed 2009.
Every one of them recorded zero staff in position.
Not a blank cell. A recorded zero.
What the numbers mean
A health centre is a building. A doctor in position is a person who is actually there. The census counts both, in separate columns, and the gap between the two is the honest measure of whether a village has healthcare or only has a health building.
Across all 22 villages the census found 2 doctors in position. Both of them were at a Primary Health Centre, which is the first government doctor a village can reach. The health sub-centre, which is a single-room posting staffed by a nurse or midwife with no doctor, appears 9 times across the 22 villages, and every one of those sub-centres recorded zero staff in position on the day the survey was taken.
That last figure is the one worth sitting with. Nine villages had the building. None of them had a person in it, on the day the count was made.
Health posts and the staff actually in position, village by villageCensus of India 2011, Village Directory. The amenity columns carry an internal reference year of 2009, so this describes the ground in 2009 and not today.

Where this comes from: Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India, District Census Handbook, Village Directory, Gujarat (state code 24), sheet Village_Data_2400, 396 columns. Census year 2011, amenity reference year 2009.

What this table cannot tell you It cannot tell you who is posted there in 2026. The only staffing count in any source used here is this one, and it was taken in 2009. The state has published lists of health centres since then, at 2018 and at 2021, but neither of those lists carries a headcount.
Why we are showing you a seventeen-year-old count
Because it is the only one that exists. The two newer government lists this site uses, the Primary Health Centre list as on 15 August 2018 and the Community Health Centre list as on 30 June 2021, name facilities and their villages. Neither prints a single staff number. So the choice is between publishing a dated count and publishing nothing, and a dated count with its date attached is more use than silence.
One warning that applies to this whole page. The census amenity columns describe 2009, not 2026. Nothing built in the Dholera region after 2009 is in them, and an absence here is not proof of an absence on the ground today. It is proof that the last national survey of these villages did not find one.
