Not one of the 22 villages had treated tap water in 2009. Untreated tap water, hand pumps and tube wells carry the load.

Not one of the 22 villages had treated tap water when the census last asked. This page prints every source they did have, source by source and village by village, including the ones that only work part of the year.

Treated means treated, and there was none

The census asks about treated tap water and untreated tap water as two different things, and the difference is the whole point. Treated water has been through a plant. Untreated water comes out of a pipe from a local source and has not.

The development authority lists a water treatment plant among its completed projects for the activation area, which is a different thing from a treated tap in a notified village, and this register does not merge the two.

What this table cannot tell you It cannot tell you whether a source still runs. The Village Directory carries functioning-all-year and functioning-in-summer columns for each source, and for these 22 villages the treated tap water pair is blank throughout, so no seasonal reliability figure is published here.

Drainage, and why there is no distance column here

Water is one of the few things the census does not give a distance for. A village either has a source or it does not, so the cells on this page read yes, no, or blank where the source did not answer. On drainage, 0 of 22 had closed drainage and 19 had open drainage. Three had no drainage of any kind.

Nothing built for the region after 2009 is in it, and the trunk water infrastructure post-dates it entirely.
